Management Team:

  • Tina Padilla - Executive Director

    Tina Padilla is the Executive Director of Community Warriors 4 Peace-Northeast. One of the first Woman led Organizations. Tina grew up in Northeast Los Angeles and gained a passion for helping others in her community. Tina developed her expertise through lived experience, Tina wanted to be the generational cycle breaker in her family to stop the trauma and pain she went through as a child of gang members Tina has participation in programs such as, Alcohol and Drug Abuse (AA and NA), Domestic Violence, Anger and Stress Management, YAAP (Youth Awareness Adult Program), YOP (Youth Offender Program), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Treatment). Tina has received her certificate in Drug and alcohol counseling from Glendale Community College along with her AS. She also went on to receive her Bachelor's in Human Development. Tina is about making positive changes so that future generations can grow in love and healing, not trauma and death.

    To round out her impressive skill set, Tina is also a nationwide trainer for the Urban Peace Institute and is also part of the Los Angeles Violence Coalition

  • Victor Zamora - Program Coordinator

    Victor grew up in Northeast Los Angeles, and loves to give back to his community. He has grown up here in Northeast Los Angeles and was actually in the program since he was 14, being able to be on the other side has been very rewarding. Victor wants the community that he and this program will always be there for them.

  • Melanie Naranjo- Data Analyst

    As the data analyst for all 3 areas Melanie helps interpret the data and utilizes the data for helpful presentations and communicating the work that the organization does. Melanie hopes to give back to the community that she comes from. Melanie enjoys to see the impact that this organization has with the youth.

Northeast LA Team:

  • Nicolas Real- Lead Community Intervention Worker

    As the lead community intervention worker in the Northeast area, Nicolas helps supervise other CIW’s but he also aims to create an alternative to police response with an unarmed model of community engagement and gang prevention strategies. Nicolas hopes to have an impact on the youth in the community that he grew up in too. Nicolas wants to give them and their families better opportunities.

  • Antonio Duran - Community Intervention Worker

    As a community intervention worker, Antonio Duran aims to create an alternative to police response with an unarmed model of community engagement and gang prevention strategies. Antonio helps prevent retaliatory violence, reducing the need for officers to engage in the neighborhoods.

  • Frank Saucedo- Case Manager

    As a case manager, Frank meets with clients and their families to assess family needs, develops, and implements a tailored service plan to improve stability, safety, and well-being of the client and their family. Frank is connecting with the community as well to help them find any resources that they may need. Frank wants to give back and help fix the community that he has always been apart of. He wants the community to know to never judge a book by its cover because it is possible to change.

  • Dalila Castillejo- Case Manager

    As a case manager, Dalila meets with clients and their families to assess their needs, develops, and implements a tailored service plan to improve stability, safety, and well-being of the client and their family. Dalila is connecting with the community as well to help them find any resources they may need. Dalila wants to give back to the community and help those families that need it.

  • Maria Torres- UPI Ambassador

    As a urban peace institute ambassador, Maria helps with safe passages, ensuring that the youth gets to school safely and get home safely, rumor control, and helps with crisis calls. Maria continues to help the youth and the community and truly enjoys seeing the difference it makes.

  • Sandra Ochoa- CD1 Ambassador

    As a council district 1 ambassador, Sandra helps with safe passages, ensuring that the youth gets to school safely and get home safely, rumor control, and helps with crisis calls. Sandra loves to listen to the youth and helping them in any way that she can. Sandra just wants to continue to give back to the community that she loves.

  • Constantine Pelayo- GRYD Ambassador

    As a GRYD ambassador, Constantine offers support to the gryd zones in the form of mentoring safe passages, homeless outreach person, and business outreach. Constantine hopes to mentor the youth and set a good example.

  • Devin Real- CD1 Ambassador

    As a council district 1 ambassador, Devin helps with safe passages, ensuring youth get to school safely and get home safely, as well as doing community outreach. Devin wants to give back to the community that he was born and raised in.

  • Thomas Leon- GRYD Ambassador

    As a GRYD ambassador, Thomas offers support to the gryd zones in the form of mentoring safe passages, homeless outreach person, and business outreach. Thomas enjoys giving back to his community and mentoring the youth.

  • Eliana Frias- Safe Passage Ambassador

    As a safe passage ambassador, Eliana offers support with safe passages to ensure that the youth get to school safely and get home safely. Eliana also helps out with the community events. Eliana enjoys engaging with the community and helping out in any way that she can.

  • Edward- Safe Passage Ambassador

    As a safe passage ambassador, Edward offers support with safe passages to ensure that the youth get to school safely and get home safely. Edward also offers help for the community events. Edward hopes to continue mentoring the youth and making a difference.

Armando has always worked with youth and looks forward to continuing that work within the community.
